Great Weather, Great Location

Henry County features a moderate climate year-round, with little extreme. The coolest months are January and February (lows around 36°F and highs around 65°F); and the warmest months are July and August (lows around 80°F and highs up to 98°F).
 
Just south of downtown Atlanta, 30 miles from the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, less than a four-hour drive away from coastal beaches, and under two hours to the mountains, Henry’s location in the state of Georgia is ideal. With Henry’s temperate weather, you can plan trips ahead of time knowing that the airport rarely closes due to poor weather conditions.

F.J. “Josh” Fenn
Executive Director
Fenn previously served as Director of Business Development for ECS Southeast, LLP and held the President/Chief Executive Officer and director of economic development positions with the Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce in Jefferson, Georgia. He also served in top leadership positions with the Development Authority of Bryan County in Pembroke, Georgia; Eastman-Dodge County Area Chamber of Commerce in Eastman, Georgia; and with the Downtown Waycross Development Authority in Waycross, Georgia. As a graduate of LaGrange College, Fenn is extremely active in the Georgia Economic Developers Association, Southern Economic Development Council, National Association of Industrial and Office Properties – Georgia Chapter, and the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors – Georgia Chapter. He is currently completing his final courses to become a Certified Economic Developer through the International Economic Development Council. The certification is the highest earned designation in the economic development field.
Leah Brown
Director of Existing Industry and Marketing
Leah Brown works with businesses who are considering a new location or expansion opportunity. She also assists Henry County’s primary businesses to problem solve, discuss potential expansion opportunities and advise clients on any applicable resources and support available in addition to leading HCDA's marketing efforts. Prior to joining the Authority, Leah worked for the Macon Economic Development Commission as the Manager of Industry and Business and as Projects Manager. Leah holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgia College & State University and a Masters of Public Administration degree from the University of Georgia.
Terry Collins
Executive Assistant
Terry has been a resident of Henry County since 1985. She was employed by the Henry County Board of Education for 11 years prior to joining the Henry County Board of Commissioners in 2001. Terry has served as Executive Assistant and Office Manager for the Henry County Development Authority since 2010.
