In addition to Henry County’s stellar corporate and workforce offerings, the county is home to a vibrant tourism industry.

Only 20 miles from the attractions of downtown Atlanta and less than an hour from Macon, Henry is home to a mixture of historic Southern charm and bustling modern activities. Everyone on can find fun in Henry County from NASCAR fans, history buffs, animal lovers to outdoorsy types and die-hard shoppers.


          

Henry’s easy access via Interstate 75 gives residents and visitors the convenience of plentiful dining choices, unique activities and shopping. Venture onto our back roads, however, and you’ll enjoy rolling, green pastures, quiet, leafy woodlands, cool breezes blowing off serene lakes and ponds, and quaint small towns.

F.J. “Josh” Fenn
Executive Director
Fenn previously served as Director of Business Development for ECS Southeast, LLP and held the President/Chief Executive Officer and director of economic development positions with the Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce in Jefferson, Georgia. He also served in top leadership positions with the Development Authority of Bryan County in Pembroke, Georgia; Eastman-Dodge County Area Chamber of Commerce in Eastman, Georgia; and with the Downtown Waycross Development Authority in Waycross, Georgia. As a graduate of LaGrange College, Fenn is extremely active in the Georgia Economic Developers Association, Southern Economic Development Council, National Association of Industrial and Office Properties – Georgia Chapter, and the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors – Georgia Chapter. He is currently completing his final courses to become a Certified Economic Developer through the International Economic Development Council. The certification is the highest earned designation in the economic development field.
Leah Brown
Director of Existing Industry and Marketing
Leah Brown works with businesses who are considering a new location or expansion opportunity. She also assists Henry County’s primary businesses to problem solve, discuss potential expansion opportunities and advise clients on any applicable resources and support available in addition to leading HCDA's marketing efforts. Prior to joining the Authority, Leah worked for the Macon Economic Development Commission as the Manager of Industry and Business and as Projects Manager. Leah holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgia College & State University and a Masters of Public Administration degree from the University of Georgia.
Terry Collins
Executive Assistant
Terry has been a resident of Henry County since 1985. She was employed by the Henry County Board of Education for 11 years prior to joining the Henry County Board of Commissioners in 2001. Terry has served as Executive Assistant and Office Manager for the Henry County Development Authority since 2010.
