Fall Fun and Frights in Henry!
It may still be a bit warm in Henry for it to be October, but there are still fun, fall events happening all around town!
Take the kids to the Locust Grove City Hall on October 28th for a Trunk or Treat and Haunted Hayride! Prizes will be awarded to the three best decorated trunks, and after trunk or treating, brave souls can join Mayor Price on a haunted hayride through the cemetery! Also in Locust Grove, kids can Trick or Treat at Tanger Outlets on Halloween night from 4-6pm.
Hampton residents can enjoy Trick or Treat on Main Street, Halloween night from 4-6pm. Don’t forget your costume and bucket for candy! Watch out for zombies from The Walking Dead; we hear they love Main Street Hampton.
Southern Belle Farm, the historic 330-acre family farm in McDonough, is open until November 6th for their fall season! Check out their pumpkin patch, hayrides, pig races, and more before it’s too late. Stop by their new Market and Bakery while you’re there, but don’t get lost in the corn maze!
If you dare, visit Fear The Woods at The Pumpkin Patch at Yule Forest in Stockbridge for a frightful night. This haunted attraction includes a Terror Transport and Haunted Trail, Haunted House, and a Pandemic Frontline Haunted Combat. It’s open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays through Halloween night, but we don’t suggest going alone. If you’re just too faint at heart, check out the pumpkin patch during the day instead, and enjoy hayrides, petting zoo, puppet show, movie, and more!
Once the Halloween festivities are over, the whole family will enjoy the Moonlight Mountain Hike on November 12th! On this ranger-led hike up Panola Mountain, you’ll get to see the sunset over Atlanta and sit by a lakeside campfire with s’mores. Don’t forget your flashlights, bug spray, hiking boots and water.
