The Henry County Chamber of Commerce had another event this month, the 2018 STAR Breakfast on February 16! Their STAR Student program is designed to reward both academic aptitude and academic excellence. To qualify as a STAR, a student must have the highest score on a single test date on the three-part SAT as well as being in the top 10% or top 10 students in their class based on grade point average. 18 students met these standards and were recognized at the breakfast! The students were also able to select one STAR teacher who had the most influence on their academic achievement. Congratulations to the county-wide STAR Student, Meet Patel from Luella High School and STAR Teacher, Mr. Dean Goldgar!
