Henry County – A Destination for Global Commerce

 IMG_0084

Just minutes from Atlanta and the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, the most traveled airport in the world, Henry County is a destination for global commerce. We’re proud to have global companies like Luxottica and Alpla innovating and growing right here in Henry. When the Austrian plastics manufacturer Alpla originally located in Henry County in 2001, the facility was designed as a manufacturing plant, but has grown to become the company’s North American headquarters and Technical Center. Luxottica Group, a leading eyewear designer, manufacturer and distributor, recently created 1,000 jobs with the expansion of its North American location in Henry County.

Global Connections

Twenty miles from downtown Atlanta, 30 miles from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and easy access to interstate highways, national train systems, and global ports, Henry County is ready to connect your business to the world. 80% of U.S. consumers can be reached from Atlanta in two flight hours or two day’s trucking by highway. Henry County is also connected to a 21st century workforce that is highly trained and skilled, ready to help your company thrive.

Speaking of connections, the state of Georgia maintains an incredible network of international organizations with an international presence in 12 strategic global markets – Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Europe, Israel, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Peru and the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Growing International Investment

Currently, international companies from Austria, France, Switzerland, South Korea, Italy, Japan, and Sweden have operations in Henry County.

The Henry County Development Authority is working to attract more foreign investment to Henry County. In fact, HCDA is a member of the European American Investment Council (EAIC), LP and the Transatlantic Business and Investment Council (TBIC). The Authority recently had the pleasure of hosting TBIC for a tour of Henry. From engaging conversation about talent development to touring Alpla’s manufacturing facility to discussing foreign direct investment strategies, we enjoyed sharing the Henry County story!
