School Set to Start Soon in Henry County
School is about to begin again in Henry County! The first day for all Henry County schools will be Monday, August 3, 2015.
All schools in the Henry County School System will have their open house on Thursday, July 30, 2015. Each level (elementary, middle, and high) will have their open house at different times, so that you can take your children to each open house as needed.
Open House Times
High School: 1-3 PM
Middle School: 3-5 PM
Elementary School: 5-7 PM

The Academy for Advanced Studies (The Henry County College and Career Academy) will conduct their open house on Thursday, July 30, 2015 as well. The open house will be held from 12-3 pm at the Academy for Advanced Studies. The academy is located at 401 East Tomlinson Street, McDonough, GA 30253. The Academy for Advanced Studies in Henry County exists to create more opportunities for students who wish to advanced secondary and postsecondary studies. Also, students can participate in Georgia’s Move on When Ready program, which is available to all high school students. The dual enrollment program allows high school students to achieve college credits while still in high school. For more information, click here.
