The Henry County Chamber of Commerce is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the business climate and making our community the best place to live, work and play. The Chamber offers workshops throughout the year to help you succeed in business. They also promote helpful classes provided by the UGA Small Business Development Center that take place at Clayton State University throughout the year. The ultimate task of the Chamber is economic development, which is why we at the Henry County Development Authority are proud to partner with them! Here are a couple of workshops coming up that you need to know about…

QuickBooks Online Workshop

During this class, participants will use their own computers to access QuickBooks online, and learn how to set up a new company file, create product and service items, manage chart of accounts, add customer and vendor profiles, process daily transactions, electronically download bank transactions, and view reports. Topics will include: Accounting Principles Overview, New Company Set Up, Recording Daily Transactions, and Reports. This workshop will take place at Clayton State University on December 5, 2017 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Click HERE to register and learn more.

Customer Service Still Matters Workshop

A lot about the way we do business has changed due to technology. Although more and more business is conducted online and via video conferencing, email, etc, customer service is still an essential ingredient of business success. Southern Crescent Technical College is inviting businesses, local governments and nonprofits to a workshop to learn how to best communicate with clients and business partners in person and over the phone. The workshop will be held at the Henry County Chamber of Commerce on December 6, 2017 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. The guest speaker will be Nicole Phillips, an instructor at Southern Crescent.
