Verte to open second Henry County, GA facility in McDonough

Atlanta, GA based company Verte, announced today that it will add a second location in Henry County with a new facility in McDonough. The new facility will revitalize the former Snapper plant located on GA Hwy 42 creating 100 new jobs. The company currently has a facility in Liberty Industrial Park, employing over 200 people.

“Verte is thrilled about our relationship with the City of McDonough and Henry County and as a startup, we value both the workforce and the talent here. As an ecommerce technology company, we are excited to continue bringing quality jobs and innovation to Henry County. This expansion will support our exponential growth. There is no shortage of retailers looking for fulfillment and technology solutions and Verte provides the most advanced Supply Chain Visibility Platform to these customers,” said Verte’s EVP of Operations, Steve Bullard.

Verte, A cloud-based supply chain platform powered by AI provides easy integrations to connect the dots between marketplaces, platforms, and 3PL’s. Verte empowers brands and retailers — from small-and-medium to large enterprises — to grow and connect their online selling channels, automate product listing, inventory management, and establish full commerce visibility. Verte’s multi-channel fulfillment includes an expanding distribution network of partner warehouses, offering 2-day shipping to 95% of the US.

“On behalf of the City of McDonough, we are tremendously excited to see Verte expanding their operations and bringing new life to a building that had long ago been a driving force in our community.  We are confident that this location, which once served as a production facility for Snapper, will allow Verte to continue to develop and test new supply chain technologies and solutions for its customers.  Once again, this property will be a pillar of economic activity and prosperity in the heart of McDonough,” stated McDonough Mayor Sandra Vincent and recently Retired McDonough Mayor Billy Copeland, jointly.

Verte will be revitalizing the former Snapper/Briggs and Stratton plant in McDonough that has been dormant in the community for many years. The plant was Henry County and McDonough’s largest private employer, and Verte will be the first long-term tenant in the building since the plant closed.

“Henry County is excited that Verte has decided to choose Henry and expand in McDonough. The selection of the old Snapper building is welcomed news and a great statement when an advanced supply chain technology firm reinvests in our community,” said Henry County Board of Commissioners Chair Carlotta Harrell.

Located along I-75 just 20 miles south of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Henry County has become a leading location for advanced manufacturing firms and supply chain firms looking to take advantage of the community’s location and strong workforce. Verte joins a long list of established industries that have not only located in Henry County but have expanded due to the business success in the community.

“We are excited that an advanced supply chain technology company like Project Verte has found great success in Henry County since they established operations with us in 2019. Their decision to increase their footprint is a statement that Henry County is a great place for technology-driven firms in supply chain to grow with us,” stated Henry County Development Authority Chairman Pierre Clements.

“We thank Verte for choosing Georgia for their expansion and congratulate Henry County on securing the company’s additional location in the community they call home,” said Brittany Young, Georgia Department of Economic Development Acting Deputy Commissioner of Global Commerce. “As the logistics and supply chain hub of the Southeast and with an ecosystem that nurtures talent and innovation, the State of Georgia looks forward to continuing to meet Verte’s needs for long-term success as demand for efficient ecommerce solutions grows.”
